Guests In My Kitchen

Feeling Good with Strawberry Banana Dessert and Tony Robbins-Delicious Dessert and Awesome Advice

This Strawberry Banana dessert recipe is one of of my best kept secrets.  It melts in your mouth, makes you feel so good and leaves you craving for more. I found it in a magazine years ago and put it in my personal cook book (I think it was one of those ads by Eagle Brand condensed milk.)  That page is worn out with stain marks and all (thats a good sign of a recipe, right?).  Family and friends all love it and after every dinner party I have sent a copy of this recipe to someone.

Majority of the time I am asked to make it and bring it with me.  It always gives me immense pleasure to see everyone enjoy this delicious, easy to make recipe.  So here it is friends.  I urge you to go ahead and try it .  I assure you, you will be glad you did.

This time the guest in my kitchen while I made this delicious dessert was Tony Robbins.  Our essence in life is to feel good whether it is with good food or good habits and a great mindset. It was such a natural fit for me to watch this very quick and informative interview where Tony talks about changing the way you feel.

“Most people want to be happy but their habit is to be worried or frustrated or stressed,” says motivational speaker Tony Robbins.

I have always been a great fan of Tony Robbins, author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and a life coach.   Every time I listen to him I am able to learn and incorporate something new into my daily routine that helps me enhance my life experience.   I hope you can listen to it while making the Strawberry banana Dessert or anytime.

Here is the delicious recipe:

Ingredients:

1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 cup (250 ml) cold water

1 pkg. (4 serving size) vanilla instant pudding mix

2 Cups (500 ml ) whipping cream, whipped (remember to whip it before you add it)

2 cups of fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled and sliced.

2 bananas, sliced dipped in lemon juice, well drained (cut the bananas, dip in lemon juice and drain just before adding).

1 pkg of frozen pound cake, thawed, cut in slices.

Additional strawberries and banana slices for garnish

In a large mixing bowl combine condensed milk and water.  Add pudding mix; beat well. Chill until thickened, about 20 minutes.  Fold in whipped cream, then strawberries and bananas.  Line side and bottom of a 3 1/2 quart (3.5 L) glass serving bowl with cake slices   Spoon pudding mixture into prepared bowl. (If you have left over cake slices crumble them into the mixture.)  Garnish with additional strawberries and banana slices. Cover and chill before serving.  Enjoy!

Preparation time: 25 min.

Chilling time 1 hour

“Its not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently”.- Tony Robbins

Lets make a habit of feeling good… consistently!!

Enjoy!!

With Love,

Devinder ❤️

You are absolutely right about this recipe coming from eagle brand condensed milk. Years ago I also copied from it and almost made it at every dinner party at our house. Now this has passed on to my daughter who makes this dessert with a passion as this is the favourite dish for her husband and brother to savour.
