Taking your power back with Animal prints

Animal print - from subtle to fierce

When the days begin to shorten, the temperatures start to fall and our spirits seem to dwindle, its time to put on the animal prints and take our power back.

The bold and conspicuous animal prints truly become an established part of your look and bring with them confidence and strength. Of all the animal prints my personal favourite is leopard print. My daughter tells me it also is the trend of the season (lucky for me).

Mind you, my love affair with animal print had a slow beginning. I was not always fond of it as I shared in my post last year. It has slowly but surely grown on me over the years. Especially in the autumn season when these camel browns, beiges and deep jewel tones so nicely compliment the vibrant colours of flamboyant foliage.

The beauty of animal prints is that you can pick and choose as much or as little depending on your day, mood or personal preference. Here are 3 different way to incorporate this trend from subtle and sweet to bold and fierce.

Three Ways to wear animal print from sweet and subtle to bold and fierce.

Look one: A Subtle Hint

Look 2: Dash of daring

However you choose to wear animal print, it has the power to bring confidence, fun and joy into dressing. That my friends is what style is all about.

“Personal power is the ability to stand on your own two feet with a smile on your face in the middle of a universe that contains a million ways to crush you.”― J.Z. Colby.

Lets own our power and put on that smile to greet the world!!

With love,

Devinder 💖

I have animal print flats and a scarf, but I just can’t seem to go bold with it. That dress and blazer look great together. You look amazing in it!

Firstly, I would like to commend you, on your continuous dedicated effort and regimental blogging every week. I read your blogs and often think of writing a comment, in the mist of time, you have already posted the next blog, excuse me for being behind….

Growing up I was surrounded by taxidermies of lions, tigers and cheetahs in the house from my grandfathers hunting trips (these days it would be considered animal cruelty).

Being born a ‘Shergill’ it naturally came to me wearing animal prints in my early age, it kind of gave me a feeling of being a tigress. Whenever, I am decluttering my clothes, my leopard print trousers from my twenties usually gets classified as classic and I very proudly wear these even now (thank goodness for the invention of spandex). When people see me wearing them the first reaction usually is WOW, you wear leopard prints? Of course they are classic and sexy.

Thank you Sweety. I have truly found my passion with writing and I just find so much joy in it. I thank you for keeping up with the reading and sending your valuable feed back whenever you are able to. Yes, of course a “Shergill” has to be comfortable with animal print. I would love to see a picture of you of in the animal print from your twenties. You are so right they are classy and sexy!!
