What excites me the most about life is our ability, as human beings, to learn, grow and evolve.  In fact, I truly believe our mission in life is to strive to become the best possible version of ourselves.  Each day we are blessed with  a brand new opportunity to start afresh.   It’s when we bring along only the best and most beautiful memories; learn from each experience and appreciate it for what it taught us; and learn to live consciously in every moment that we attain a life of fulfillment.

Yes, it’s possible but it’s not easy to do this alone.   At a deeper level, we are all connected, we are all one.  Therefore, we must come together and share our thoughts, experiences, struggles and stories.  At fifty-five I certainly have my share of all of the above. I am so excited to share them all with the hope that I can inspire someone to love and live whole heartedly and to spread a little gratitude, hope, love and joy.

Why Fabulous Fifty-Five?

We have all engaged in a conversation at some point in our lives about our favourite age; what age we would stay at if given the choice.  I started thinking about this one day and realized just how fabulous I felt right now at the age of fifty-five.  And so was born Fabulous Fifty-Five! Would I choose this to be my dream age?   Yes, I would!  I certainly look forward to growing older and am tremendously excited for what is yet to come my way, but I hope to feel like this for the rest of my life.

Its been an incredible journey with my soulmate, my life partner for over 35 years; raising three beautiful human beings; constructing many different real estate projects; running a business for 15 years and starting a non-profit organization, The Saheli Foundation (http://thesahelifoundation.com/).

Reflecting back upon my journey I have never felt this confident, independent, strong,  free and beautiful! Yes, I have stretch marks and some extra pounds to show for the beautiful children I brought into this world; yes, I have chronic pain on my right side to show for years of commitment and hard-work;  and yes, I have a few wrinkles to show for each year I fully indulged and lived this beautiful life.  I have earned all these and I proudly embrace them all.

With over half a century behind me and unlimited possibilities ahead of me I hope to share my journey with you all through this wonderful medium.  I hope you will stay (and subscribe) and become a part of my vision to grow a little more everyday and to spread gratitude, hope, love and joy.

With Love,

Devinder β€οΈ

I love your mission in life and it gives me the inspiration to share my own as I’m a mental health, rare diseases, and autism spectrum disorder advocate. My favourite post of your is Wednesday wisdom-Awakenings. I love how mindful and delightful your conversation with you mind, body, and soul was. 😊❀️

Thank you so much Jeanine for your kind words. There certainly is a lot of need for awareness around mental health and associated disorders and diseases. We have a long ways to go as a society. This is also one of my personal favourite posts as it really has changed my own outlook on how I treat myself. Thank you once again for taking the time to stop by πŸ’–.

Like everyone else it is really very hard to say which one of your post is the best because they all are amazing. You have touched almost all the perspectives of life to live it to the fullest in such a wonderful way. But everyone is not that lucky to make things happen the way they wish as their surroundings do not allow. Your work is great to bring awareness about successful living. Looking forward for your next post.

You are so right in that everyone’s circumstances are different. At the end of the day we all have to try and live the best we can with what we are given. As long as we learn and grow through our experiences and live consciously and make the most of life. You have always been a happy soul, always there for everyone including me. Love you lots and look forward to your continued feed back.
