I have always been fond of shoes. Normally, I buy neutral, complimentary and once in a while a bright pair of shoes. Recently on our family shopping trip to Settle (yes, its one of the many perks of living in Vancouver) I totally fell in love with a beautiful, stylish pair of round-toed loafers by Lewit at Nordstrom. It was one of those have to have moments for me.
It wasn’t until I was in the car on the drive back that I panicked. I now own these beautiful things but how will I wear them? What will I wear them with? The fabric and the colors were absolutely stunning but how to style them? I do love fashion for this reason. It gets your creative juices flowing.
As much as I love color and patterns it would be only fair to let the shoes be the highlight. I wanted to really feel good about wearing this well crafted beautiful pair of loafers. Here is what I came up with.
Two basic staple monochromatic pieces from my closet including a cream sleeveless top and a grey pair of cropped pants were the starting point. The cropped pair of pants really draws attention to the shoe.
I definitely needed to layer for our slightly cooler spring weather and also to add a bit more color and interest to the outfit. I happened to own this gorgeous moto jacket from Banana Republic that I purchased not too long ago. (What a great feeling to take pieces from your closet and put them together). 
If you ask me I would tell you I don’t have a favorite color. I love to wear every color under the sun. Yet, around this time of the year, I get so drawn to lovely pastels with grey.
Of course, nothing like a lovely necklace to tie everything together. 
When an outfit makes you smile and (feel) alive…its done its job!!
I am so excited for other options for these shoes, I might come up with soon..maybe even some textures to compliment the floral pattern of the shoe.
