At the end of the day life is all about indulging and creating our own happiness. The more we fill our journey with joy and laughter the more fulfilling it becomes. How we find joy or how we create it is up to us.
I don’t know about you but I am sure glad for being born a female. I mean, look at all the little joys we can indulge in. Different outfits, make up, hair, shoes, purses and so on.
Do you remember playing dress up when you were little? Putting on something utterly ridicules and yet looking in the mirror like you were the princess of princesses!! Do you remember how happy you were putting on that colourful frock your mom made? You twirled around, looked at yourself in admiration and were so happy for how it made you feel.
Then something happens. Yes, you got it. We grow older and we loose touch with our inner child, full of wonder and enthusiasm. We start dressing for trends; comparing ourselves to others; disliking our bodies and dressing to please others.
Enough is enough! At some point we realize its all pointless. This is our own journey and the only person that we need to make happy is ourselves. So we no longer follow trends, we no longer care if its an expensive piece, or if its a designer. We only care how it makes us feel.
Jumpsuit for me is one such piece of clothing. It’s comfortable and stylish. It follows the body as opposed to body following it. It lets you be you. Putting on a jump suit for the first time connected (and every time I wear one) me to that little girl in me. It made me feel so happy and joyful. I love the way it falls and flows. It lets me be me without having to worry about my outfit.
It certainly is a statement piece and so easy to accessorize. With this solid navy blue I was so excited to wear my leopard print pumps. They are so very comfortable, and so sleek. Here is the link DSW Shoes.
I recently invested in a bracelet watch from Rosefield Watches in rose gold that I absolutely love and the sleeveless jumpsuit highlights it nicely. The cute wristlet purse I found at Banana Republic. It was too cute to pass.
The most important thing about wearing a jumpsuit is that it needs to fit well. I am by no means a fashion expert so here is a website I found that goes through every detail of dressing in a jumpsuit. I hope you find one that fits your body and your style.
Next time you dress up I hope you will remember and connect with that little girl from your childhood. I hope you smile and jump with joy because you look good and you feel great!!
Lots of love,
Devinder π
